Wake up !! (Pickel Head) . . .

Hey All,

Just need to rant then I will let you in on some fantastic news !! 

As I've Blogged/mentioned before I hold a Registered Nursing degree in my home state of New Jersey here on the East Coast USA.  From time to time I must do training to keep up on current trends & practice changes.  Today I logged & phoned in from my PC & office phone to one of theses required trainings.  In order to conduct theses sessions EVERYONE MUST PUT THEIR PHONE ON MUTE or the hundreds of other participants of the training will hear all that is going on around an always busy & chaotic nursing unit and will be completely disturbed & distracted rendering the session totally unproductive.  Needless to say one of my colleagues neglected to this so not only was it impossible to obtain the important information I needed, I now have to schedule another hour of my time to do this all over again hopefully w/o the same distraction.  This particular women not only had no clue she was disturbing an entire company & wasting everyones  time she literally conducted both personal & professional conversations throughout the entire hour presentation w/ the most irritating & annoying tone I’ve heard laughing loudly at her own comments constantly as people yelled out to her thru the  begging “Put it on mute! Put it on mute!”.  The bulk of her interactions were logging patient nicknames into her system.  An hour of Joey, Sally, Pops, Mom Mom, Chucky, Viv, Peggy & the most interesting nickname of “her favorite patient” being – get this – PICKEL HEAD, that’s right PICKEL HEAD. Now In case you haven’t figured it out I am of Italian descent and we have a saying for people like this it is “Gidrule” it translates to cucumber & I have yet to come in contact w/ anyone who fits the bill more perfectly, & how apropos is it that she herself, since she is only a cucumber & hasn’t fully pickled yet, can’t even be referred to as her own favorite nickname!!  Although I don’t know her nor have I met her I can guarantee you she is the same person would be blindsided by her husband walking out on her, being fired or demoted, finding out her children were engaged in inappropriate activities, or a family member of one of her Pickle Heads, oops patients, going to her administrator & reporting she isn’t keeping up on her responsibilities.  A clueless soul wandering the Earth w/o any idea how she effects anyone or anything around her.  We see this every where today how many times did you get cut off in your car & the perpetrator had no idea they almost killed you & themselves, how many times did you see a child get hurt as the parents argue or ignore the situation until it was too late to mention just 2 examples. This brings me to my point which is WAKE THE FUCK UP, life is happening, the world is turning do something or at least roll over & get out of my way so I can contribute positively & creatively. Pay attention to what is happening around you this way your boss, your partner, your child, your government, your clergymen won’t surprise you w/ what seems like something that came out of nowhere when all you had to do was open your eyes or ears to the signs.

After a long slumber, Monkey Dancer is returning with a vengeance!! Original members drummer Joey Baron, bassist Chris Lalevee & myself have teamed up w/ long time friend & collaborator David Adamski as a permanent member on guitar& added Alto sax to the mix from new comer to the PFR family Michael Timpone making this "never say die” crew meaner & hornier then ever.  Look for them on the scene this fall as well & they plan to return to the studio to follow up on their 2004 original EP “Indleible”.
